About Noah

Noah Winkeller is an attorney at The Bartels Law Firm and represents clients in insurance law, personal injury, and other types of civil litigation.  Noah's represents clients from the pre-litigation stage all the way through trial and appeal on both the defense and plaintiff side.

Noah is honored to have been selected as a Super Lawyers Rising Star in both Massachusetts and Washington, a distinction that is only given out to 2.5% of attorneys under the age of 40 in any one state.  It is, of course, far less common for a lawyer to receive this accolade in multiple states.

Noah practices law because he enjoys taking a case from start to finish and obtaining a successful result for his client.  Noah also likes going to court and representing his clients in contested litigation.  Noah understands lawsuits are stressful for the parties involved and takes pride in keeping his clients comfortable and informed during the litigation process.

Education and Background

Noah grew up in Massachusetts and graduated from Boston College with a bachelor’s degree in History.  He then attended law school at Northeastern University in Boston, where he earned a J.D. and an M.B.A.  During his time in law school, Noah wrote two articles that were published in legal journals.

Noah started his professional legal career working in-house for Liberty Mutual in Massachusetts representing clients and the company in personal injury, property damage, small claims, and workers' compensation cases.  He also took examinations under oath of claimants suspected of insurance fraud.  Noah next switched sides and represented claimants in Massachusetts personal injury, workers' compensation, social security disability, and disability retirement cases.  While in Massachusetts, Noah argued before the Massachusetts Appeals Court and the highest court in the state, the Supreme Judicial Court.  He also conducted civil jury and bench trials as well as administrative trials in workers' compensation, social security disability, and disability retirement cases.

Noah subsequently moved from Massachusetts to Seattle, where he worked as a defense lawyer representing insurance companies and a large railroad company for several years before joining The Bartels Law Firm.
